NAPIT Help Bring Rogue to Justice
A 38 year old conman has been sentenced to six years in prison after NAPIT provided key information to help bring him to justice.
Sacha Dixey of 2 Mayfield Close, Bognor Regis charged trusting clients up to £17,000 to install energy efficient heating systems, took deposits of around £3,500, but never followed through with the work he had promised.
Mr Dixey was formerly unsuccessful in his bid to achieve NAPIT membership. So, when under investigation by West Sussex County Council Trading Standards for his fraudulent business activities, NAPIT were quick to lend their support.
The dodgy director of Future Homes Energy Ltd and Nationwide Home Renewables Ltd, pleaded guilty to 31 counts under the Fraud Act, Companies Act, and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations before being sentenced to 6 years behind bars.
