Depending on the types of heating technology you wish to work with, you may need to join either NAPIT’s Competent Person Scheme (which will allow you to certify your work in accordance with Part G, Part J and Part L of the Building Regulations) and the Energy Efficiency Measures (EEM) (if your customers want access to Green Deal finance for relevant energy efficient heating installations or ‘measures’). Heating using renewable energy is covered under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.
