NAPIT Webinars Prove Highly Popular
Through the use of webinars, NAPIT has been able to engage with its members more than ever before. The webinars, which are free for all NAPIT members, are presented by NAPIT’s highly qualified and experienced technical team. Attendees are invited to interact with the team during the presentation, ask questions and provide feedback on the topics discussed. By providing more webinars, NAPIT are maximizing their engagement with members and learning first-hand what technical questions and issues to focus on in the future.
Since hosting the first webinar on Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) coding, NAPIT has held a further two free webinars for members to attend. The first of these was supported by Surge Protection Devices Ltd., in which the susceptibility of electronic equipment to surges and lightning strikes was discussed. The second, and most recent webinar, discussed earthing and bonding and gave attendees a chance to learn from NAPIT’s technical team on topics such as the requirements for fault protection, the purpose of earthing and bonding, protective bonding conductors and much more.
The responses from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. Feedback from each of the webinars showed that 100% of participants would attend another NAPIT webinar. One attendee commented "These are great, I will look forward to the next one, "while another said "Having an expert talk to you made things a lot easier to understand, rather than reading from the Building Regulations. "Similarly, feedback from all of the webinars showed that 97% of attendees found them useful.
These positive responses have enforced NAPIT’s commitment to continuing to find new ways to engage with its members and have also proven the value of holding webinars. The next one will take place on Thursday 13th October from 18.30-19.30 on the topic of "Special Locations". This particular webinar will explain what is defined as a Special Location in the Wiring Regulations and how installers should adapt to these circumstances, whilst allowing time for questions at the end.
