NAPIT EXPO Educates the Industry
NAPIT EXPO… On the Road once again proved to be popular with tradespeople all over the country. Kicking off the tour in Worcester, the NAPIT EXPO team travelled North to South over the course of three months updating trade professionals on the latest industry regulations and standards before closing the show in Southampton.
The FREE seminars, hosted by NAPIT’s highly qualified professionals, covered topics such as Consumer Units, RCDs, EICR code breakers, Smart Homes, Energy Storage and Certification & Documentation.
At some venues, Richard Townsend, Senior Engineer at The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), was on the panel to answer questions on the future of the Wiring Regulations, and what to expect in the upcoming 18th Edition.
Also, guest presenters from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) were in attendance, giving a presentation on CDM and Risk Assessment which engaged and enlightened much of the audience.
Big-name industry manufactures Schneider Electric and Scolmore were also at each venue, showcasing their range of installation appliances, and offering on the day discounts and offers for attendees. They even contributed to the prize draw that gave delegates the opportunity to go home with a sealant pack from Schneider, a smart home device from Scolmore, and a FREE years NAPIT membership amongst much more.
The feedback received from the attendees of the show proved how successful the events were with David Clarke of Emdave Electrical saying; "Another NAPIT success! NAPIT EXPO at Cobham was excellent. Well planned and excellently presented. Scolmore and Schneider complimented everything for me. It was a well spent four hours."
Attendee Aaron Thacker also benefitted from his evening at the EXPO in Worcester, commenting; "As a sole trader, sometimes I can feel a little isolated when I’m unsure about some technical issues or problems. However, being a NAPIT member gives me reassurance knowing that help and advice is only a phone call away. "
Mike Andrews, the NAPIT Group Chief Executive added; "I am very pleased with the response we have had from this year’s EXPO. All the attendees seemed to benefit and take something away from our expert led presentations which provided them with a heads up on industry regulations and standards. It was great to debate issues that affect our members day to day. Events like these help us to pass on important information which they can then apply into their working lives, ensuring the higher standards of NAPIT members"
NAPIT would like to thank the contribution of all supporting partners in attendance at this year’s EXPO. The IET, CITB, FLIR, Schneider Electric and Scolmore for their expert input into the shows and offering their help and advice to all attendees. Also a special thanks to David Edwards, Business Development Manager at GIRA for his input in the session on Smart Homes at the closing show in Southampton.
