NAPIT Support CEIF on Amendment 3
With attendees including awarding bodies, college lecturers and training providers, the Colleges Electrical Installation Forum (CEIF) has become an arena for many of the electrical industries most well respected minds to come together and discuss industry training.
Initially created to be a hub for lecturers to talk through training issues, the group has rapidly expanded in the North of England. As teachers of the next generation of installers, NAPIT are proud to support this invaluable platform at their most recent meeting at Rochdale College.
The announcement of Amendment 3 to the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations has been a hot topic for the electrical industry, and the CEIF were keen to see how the changes would affect current and prospective students. To understand the changes better in order to teach their courses effectively, NAPIT presented the forum attendees with its seminar on the Amendment 3 update.
Gaining high praise from the attendees, Forum Secretary, Neil Hargreaves commented on the presentation stating it was “Very informative, really well presented and very well received.”
Since the announcement of Amendment 3, NAPIT has strongly advocated training for installers on how the changes affect the work they undertake. Partnering with Megger in the last quarter of 2014, NAPIT has travelled the country to deliver as many free seminars as possible on the subject. The seminars have been a tremendous success. With leading wholesalers and large industry contractors queuing to receive the training next, NAPIT is rapidly adding more dates to its calendar.
NAPIT continues to be proactive in its support for the Forum and has already given their seminar presentation to its Lecturers to conduct seminars in their own colleges. With such positive reviews, it’s easy to see how they have fast become a leading industry voice; it certainly looks set to be a busy 2015.
